Project Description
The project is for the programming, site analysis and concept design for the addition and renovation to the McColl Building for Kenan Flagler School of Business. The addition and partial renovation is required to support undergraduate enrollment growth, update existing classrooms and to consolidate staff currently located off site in leased space. The project will need to consider land planning impacts related to increased parking, civil/landscape and utility infrastructure. The preliminary program estimates 90,000 GSF for the new building/addition and 30,000 GSF renovation of the existing McColl Building. The projected construction budget is estimated at $56 million ($48 M addition, $8M renovation). The programming/feasibility study is estimated at $500,000. The University may retain the selected designer through full design and construction services at its option.
