Emergency Room Drive Work Zone and Pedestrian Detour
Emergency Room Drive Work Zone and Pedestrian Detour

A utility project on Emergency Room Drive will begin Jan. 2, 2018, and is expected to be completed May 6, 2018. Vehicular access to the Anderson Pavilion Loading Dock and the Crescent Visitor Lot will be maintained throughout the project, and construction will not impact access to the Emergency Room entrance or patient parking. Please drive slowly and with caution, follow detour signs and stay alert to temporary crosswalk locations during this project.

Access to the Public Safety Lot from Emergency Room Drive will be closed and employee disability and service permit parking west of the UNC Hospital Paint Shop will be unavailable during this project. The Public Safety Lot may be accessed via the Paul Hardin Drive entrance.

During the first phase of the project, Jan. 2, 2018, through Feb. 19, 2016, the sidewalk adjacent to the Public Safety Lot will be closed to pedestrians. Pedestrians should remain alert to changes in traffic patterns and follow signage along Emergency Room Drive designating pedestrian reroutes.

The Anderson Pavilion Loading Dock will be closed on weekends beginning Jan. 6 through the remainder of the project.
