Share information about the Styrofoam Recycling drive with your co-workers and teammates!

It’s that time of year again! During the week surrounding student move-in (Aug. 13-20), UNC’s Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling (OWRR) will be staging a tractor trailer in the Branson basketball court in Odum Village for Styrofoam recycling. During this time, members of the University community may bring their block Styrofoam and coolers (no packing peanuts) to the trailer to be recycled.

Styrofoam MUST be:

  • Clean and dry block styrofoam
  • From University operations
  • Bagged and tied off
    (not taped, as the bags will be recycled)

Please, NO:

  • Packing peanuts
  • To-go boxes or cups
  • Tape or cardboard
  • Personal Styrofoam

Load your Styrofoam into the tractor trailer truck at the Branson Basketball Court in Odum Village anytime between August 13 and 20.Call the Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling at (919) 962-1442 if you have any questions.
