Snow Removal Priority Map
Due to the weather forecast for Thursday, Jan. 20 and Friday, Jan 21, Facilities Services is closely monitoring campus conditions and preparing equipment and supplies. In the event of adverse weather, Grounds, Housekeeping, Building and Construction Services crews will coordinate efforts to treat and clear campus routes as soon as possible. Clearing priorities may be adjusted based on planned campus events, weather conditions or other circumstances.

Response and Service Updates
Saturday, Jan. 22
UPDATE 9:10 a.m..: Due to ongoing adverse weather conditions in the area, the University will extend Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) until noon tomorrow (Sunday, Jan. 23), when the University will resume normal operations.
UPDATE 8 a.m.: Grounds, Housekeeping and Building Services crews are on campus and are working to clear and treat roads, sidewalks and primary/ADA building entrances.
Friday, Jan. 21
UPDATE 2:45 p.m.: Due to possible winter precipitation this evening, the University will move to Condition 1 (Reduced Operations) at 5 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 21), and stay in Condition 1 until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, when the University will resume normal operations.
UPDATE 8:30 a.m.: Crews are working across campus to pretreat and brine primary roads, walkways and building entrances.
Thursday, Jan. 20
UPDATE 8:20 p.m.: The University will move to Condition 2 (Suspended Operations) at 11 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Jan. 20), and stay in Condition 2 until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21. If there is a change in operating conditions after 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, that will be communicated to campus no later than 3 p.m. tomorrow. For more information visit alertcarolina.unc.edu.
UPDATE 1 p.m.: The canopy covers at all outdoor gathering spaces have been temporarily removed so as to prevent any snow/ice damage. Canopies will be restored next week.
