Manning Drive will close to through traffic between West Drive and New East Drive beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, April 29 through 5 a.m. Monday, May 2, to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian bridge at the UNC Hospitals Surgical Tower project site.

Traffic will be detoured along Mason Farm Road and New East Drive. The Dogwood and Cardinal parking decks will remain open and accessible for patient, visitor and employee parking. Pedestrians should remain alert to traffic changes and follow designated pedestrian detours.

Bus stops #3238 and #3239 on Manning Drive at UNC Hospitals will not be serviced while Manning Drive is closed. Chapel Hill Transit and GoTriangle will make every attempt to maintain schedules, but riders should plan for possible delays due to rerouting. Visit Chapel Hill Transit and GoTriangle for information on route detours and alternate stops.

For construction questions or concerns, contact Stephanie Berrier, interim director of marketing and communications for Finance and Operations, at stephanie_berrier@unc.edu.
