Avery Residence Hall Renovation

Overview

The Avery Residence Hall Renovation includes structural, mechanical and electrical upgrades to the building. This includes HVAC improvements, window replacement and roof repairs, and will also include a new elevator tower addition to improve ADA accessibility that will also include new lounge and community kitchen spaces on each floor. A new outdoor social space will be added to the back of the building along with accessible walkways along the front and back of the building. Interior renovations will also include a renovated office suite for Carolina Housing on the ground floor along with two new accessible suites on each of the first through fourth floors. The residence hall will not be available for student housing during the renovation.
