Join us for A Celebration of UNC Sustainability, recognizing the many campus programs, groups and departments that promote the Three Zeros Environmental Initiative on campus. We invite members of the Carolina community to learn more about campus progress in achieving the Three Zeros goals of water neutrality, zero waste and greenhouse gas neutrality.

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: FLO Farmers Market, Pit
Fair, Local, Organic (FLO) Foods will host a pop-up farmer’s market on campus to provide Three Zeros Day participants with healthy, local, and sustainable food options.
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Three Zeros Exhibitions, Student Union Great Hall
Learn more about the important environmental work of campus and community partners! Members of the UNC and Chapel Hill community will exhibit on the innovative practices they have engaged to further the Three Zeros Environmental Initiative goals. Visitors may enter a raffle for great prizes!
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Student Exhibitions, Pit & Student Union Great Hall
How do students contribute to a greener campus? Student environmental groups located in the Pit and the Union Great Hall will share their many contributions to reaching the goals of the Three Zeros Environmental Initiative.
2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Prizes Drawing, Student Union Great Hall
Those who attend three exhibits in the Student Union on waste, water and greenhouse gases can be entered for a chance to win prizes from Nike, Carolina Dining Services and more!
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Three Zeros Environmental Initiative Keynote, Student Union Auditorium
Where have we been and where are we going? Learn more about UNC’s history of environmental excellence and our Three Zeros Environmental Initiative Roadmap with Chancellor Carol L. Folt, Chief Sustainability Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor for Campus Enterprises Brad Ives, Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Services Anna Wu, and Steven Baumgartner, associate principle at BuroHappold Engineering.
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Reception, Student Union Art Gallery
