  • The professional work of the Grounds Services Department was recognized with the 2005 Grand Award from the Professional Grounds Management Society’s (PGMS) Green Star Awards competition, a prestigious national award co-sponsored by Landscape Management magazine.
  • The Housekeeping Services Department was honored with two national awards for its pilot program of Operating System 1 (OS1), a housekeeping approach to cleaning facilities that is being utilized in two buildings on campus, by the OS1 Power Users Group, a non-profit organization composed of experiences OS1 users who are dedicated to improving the cleaning profession. Housekeeping received the Best Rookie Program Award and the Best Communications Program Award. In addition, Housekeeping received special recognition for the Green Certified Cleaning Program.
  • C. Knox Massey Award winners included Paul Spencer Davis, Maintenance Mechanic, and Betty Russell, Housekeeper.
