We’re pleased to announce an addition to Carolina North’s Office of Forest Management!

Starting August 24, Mr. Keith Jeremiah will be the new Forest Technician for the Carolina North Forest.

In this role Keith will maintain approximately 1000 acres of grounds and forested area, including the 25 miles of recreational trails in and around the Carolina North tract. Keith will also be working closely with students, the public, and volunteer groups to carry out the objectives of the University’s Land Stewardship program for the Carolina North Forest.

Keith achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2002 and remains active in Scouting. He’s been working as a Groundsworker in the Baity Hill zone for Grounds Services – Housing since 2005. We chose Keith based on his personal and professional experiences, his landscape knowledge, and his willingness to collaborate with co-workers and volunteers. We’re looking forward to working with him to keep the Forest and trails open and accessible to the community.

When you see Keith, please take a moment to say ‘Hello!’ as he gets used to the rhythms and routines of the Forest!

Thank you for your continued support!
