As part of the Beard Hall renovation project, an improved accessible ramp will be constructed adjacent to the Beard and Kerr loading dock. This will require that the current ramp and the loading dock area be closed beginning May 13 through June 24. Access to the loading dock will be restricted and building deliveries should be coordinated with Kyle Coble, construction manager, at kyle.coble@facilities.unc.edu.
Public accessible parking will not be available in the Beard Parking Lot during this project and visitors should use accessible parking available in the School of Social Work Parking Lot, located between the Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building and the FedEx Global Education Center.
Pedestrians should remain alert to construction in the area and follow designated pedestrian routes and detours. Accessible entrances to Kerr and Beard are located on the lower west and east sides of Kerr Hall.
