Snow Removal Priority Map

Due to the weather forecast for Thursday, Feb. 20, Facilities Services is closely monitoring campus conditions and preparing equipment and supplies. In the event of adverse weather, Grounds, Housekeeping, Building and Construction Services crews will coordinate efforts to treat and clear campus routes as soon as possible. Snow clearing priorities may be adjusted based on planned campus events, weather conditions or other circumstances.

Friday, Feb. 21

UPDATE 10 a.m.: The University is operating under Condition 1 – Reduced Operations. For more information visit alertcarolina.unc.edu.

8:15 a.m.: Crews have now cleared or treated 95% of priority/ADA building entrances and walkways. Pedestrians should exercise caution and use cleared pathways.

Thursday, Feb. 20

UDPATE 1:54 p.m.: The University will move to  Condition 2 – Suspended Operations/Classes Cancelled at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 20, and stay in Condition 2 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21. A decision regarding the operating status for after 10 a.m. tomorrow will be communicated no later than 8 a.m. For more information visit alertcarolina.unc.edu.


9:48 a.m: The University will move to Condition 1 – Reduced Operations at 12:00 p.m. today, Feb. 20, and stay in Condition 1 until 10:00 a.mon Friday, Feb. 21. Classes will operate on a regular schedule at the individual faculty’s discretion. If there are further changes to the University’s operating status for today, that will be communicated no later than 3 p.m. today. For more information visit alertcarolina.unc.edu.
