A portion of West Drive will close to through traffic beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, May 8 through 8 p.m. Sunday, May 10 to facilitate the installation of a new pedestrian bridge at the UNC Hospitals Surgical Tower project site.
This project will close the portion of West Drive north of Manning Drive to public through traffic. One lane will remain accessible for emergency vehicle access only. The adjacent sidewalks will also be closed and pedestrians should follow designated pedestrian detours for accessing buildings in this area.
The Dental Circle and MacNider parking lots will not be accessible during this project. Vehicles parked in these lots should be relocated prior to 8 p.m., Friday, May 8 if they will be needed over the weekend.
