A portion of West Drive will close to through traffic beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, June 5 through 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7 to facilitate the construction of a new pedestrian bridge at the UNC Hospitals Surgical Tower project site.
This project will close the portion of West Drive north of Manning Drive to public through traffic. One lane will remain accessible for emergency vehicle access only. Pedestrians should remain alert to construction activity in the area and follow designated pedestrian reroutes for accessing buildings in this area.
The Dental Circle and MacNider parking lots will not be accessible during this project. Vehicles parked in these lots should be relocated prior to 8 p.m., Friday, June 5 if they will be needed over the weekend.
