A project to install LED stadium lights at Kenan Stadium is underway. During the project, areas outside the north and south stadium entrances will be closed to facilitate the installation of a crane.
Tuesday, June 20 through Wednesday, June 21, the area outside the north stadium entrance, the Stadium Drive Lot and adjacent parking spaces along Stadium Drive will be closed for construction. Vehicles must be removed from marked spaces by end of day Monday, June 19 or be subject to towing. If overcrowding occurs, overflow parking for S4 permit holders will be available in the S10 Boshamer Parking Lot.
The sidewalk along Stadium Drive will remain open during this project, but the crosswalk across the Stadium Drive Lot will temporarily close as needed when the crane and other construction vehicles enter and exit the work zone.
Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, the area outside the south stadium entrance will be closed for construction and crane installation.
Pedestrians should remain aware of construction activity in these areas and use designated pedestrian routes only.
