Construction Keeps Campus Busy Over the Summer

The Utility Improvement project to repair and replace pipes beneath Lenoir Drive has been completed. Lenoir Drive will remain closed for resurfacing and striping Aug. 2, 2017, through Aug. 10, 2017, and is expected to reopen to through traffic Aug. 11.
A roofing project at the McColl Building will require the closure of portions of the sidewalk along the plaza side of the building beginning July 31, 2017, through Aug. 19, 2017.
The Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) will close a segment of the northbound lane of Hillsborough Street for pavement work beginning Wednesday, June 21. The project is expected to be completed Friday, June 23, but weather and other conditions may impact this timeline.
Construction of the elevated plaza that will connect the Mary Ellen Jones and Thurston Bowles buildings will begin Wednesday, May 24, 2017, and is expected to be completed October 2017.
The second phase of the Pit Sidewalk Improvements project begins Monday, May 15, 2017, and is expected to be completed Aug. 18, 2017.
